One year down!!--well, under a year now
I suddenly had the inspirtation to do the blog post. Ok, so to fill people in, one of my wonderful friends(his name is Frank) is currently on his mission. He entered the MTC on July 1,2011, so as of July 1,2012 he been in the field for 365 days!!!! WOOT!!
I could hardly believe it when the day came, I had been daydreaming about it for so long. I kept saying to myself, has it really been a year since he left?? As there are is a serious lack of “missionary friend” blogs, and a whole swack of Missionary Girlfriend blogs (or MG’s as they like to call themselves) they always say once the one year mark approaches, that “it goes by so fast”, I thought as Sheldon from Big Bang Theory would say “that’s hokum”, but by golly they’re right!
What did make it easier was when he left, after his awesome sauce send off, I don’t think I’ve laughed so hard, was we said “see you later” rather than good-bye, as if he was just going off to BYU. Also, because his send off was full of games and laughter, and it was a celebration, because he was going out into the world to help people.
So, I hope that the folks who have met Elder Frank Robertson who is currently surving in the Utah Ogden Mission, have been blessed by his friendship, wisdom, and kindness. But in a year, we want him back…just saying.
